Amleto Dalla Costa (1929 - 2024) is an Italian artist best known for his flat, figurative paintings and silkscreens of women that directly reference art history. Born in 1929 in Milan, Italy, Costa's compositions absorb and translate the aesthetic styles of contemporary and modern artists such as Tom Wesselmann, Alex Katz, and Gustav Klimt. His oeuvre is prolific, although his subjects are almost entirely devoted to the representation of the female form. Painter, designer, sculptor, interpreter of a style where meticulous graphic composition ignites garish colors without violating one another to compose tenacious and personal messages of emotion and fantasy. His paintings and silkscreen printing can be found in many galleries and private collections worldwide. Costa currently lives and works in Milan, Italy.
